Meet the Candidate
Meet Jamie Moore
Candidate for Grant Superior Court 1 Judge
I grew up in rural Blackford County and went to Ball State University. Not long after college, I found myself living in Grant County. I quickly made it my home when I took a job with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff. Since then, I have spent my life as a public servant.
I live in rural Grant County with my wife, Carli, and my three sons. I am very active in my kids lives, as you will often find me coaching their baseball teams, or on the sidelines cheering them on at judo, basketball, soccer, and football. In addition, I spend a lot of time behind the decks, playing music as a wedding DJ and a karaoke host. In my spare time (ahem…), I love to go camping and do anything hands-on.
After nearly 25 years serving our community in law enforcement and the courtroom, I am eager to continue my commitment to justice, fairness, and public service in a judicial capacity.
I have served 12½ years as a Deputy Sheriff in Grant County and the last 12½ years as a Deputy Prosecutor. During that time, I have worked tirelessly to uphold the rule of law—whether protecting our neighborhoods as a law enforcement officer or seeking justice on behalf of victims and their families. I have also embraced technology and data-driven strategies to reduce case backlogs and improve courtroom efficiency, ensuring that every person’s day in court arrives promptly and that resources are used wisely.
My guiding principles—faith, family, and fairness—have shaped both my personal life and my professional duties. As your fellow Republican and neighbor, I share your desire for a judicial system that is respectful of individual rights, transparent in its processes, and accountable to the citizens of Grant County.
